There is a $50.00 Application fee that we must receive before we will release the application documents to you.

Once we receive your fee, a link to the documents will be provided to you within 10 business days.

Service Dogs can be and are trained in many areas of service.  
A dog has the ability to learn many different tasks.

Companion Dogs are not service dogs

The Companion Dog is trained for visiting to nursing homes, special schools, and also to live in the home as a skilled companion to a person.


Like the Therapy Dog, the Companion Dog does not have public access rights under the ADA.

Therapy Dogs are not service dogs

The Therapy Dog is not recognized as an Assistance/Service Dog under the ADA. 

These dogs are very important in our lives, with the work they do in the psychiatric community.

The Therapy Dog does NOT have public access rights.

Programs at Mountain Home VA Medical Center
​need your support as much as we do.
